SF Half Marathon will be my 4th coaching season and I am more excited than ever!  I have been running as long as I have been eating donuts, so as long as I can remember.  I love to run trails, cycle, eat grits, travel and encourage fellow runners. Morning runs with friends through Golden Gate Park is what gets me out of bed each morning. If I am not running I am talking about running, races, shoes, trails, and aches.

I’ve been running competitively since I was 9 years old and was fortunate enough to compete internationally for England while in High School and have been part of 2 national championship teams. My favorite distances to race are 10k’s to Half Marathons but recently I’ve been training to run my first Ultra Marathon.

For me running has always been a way of proving that hard work and persistence do pay off and it provides a blueprint for success in both your personal and professional lives. I feel lucky to be able to do my running in San Francisco and do most of my miles in the Presidio and Golden Gate Park.

As General Manager of Fleet Feet San Francisco and a certified running coach I can help guide our runners through the training program and answer any shoe or gear questions along the way.

Fleet Feet Sports - San Francisco  Training Crew Mentor:

This is my 4th year being involved in Fleet Feet Sports' Half Marathon Crews.   If you asked me why I ran when I first started running seven years ago, I probably would have said, "So I can eat those extra two Oreos or Big Mac." :) But something happened to me since then.  I’ve never been the fastest runner and that has not changed, but I love every minute I can be out on the road. It’s become a part of my life.  I run because some of my best memories in San Francisco have been made running with my friends.  I run because when I do, everything else seems to disappear and for those 30-45 minutes or two hours, however long I’m out there, everything is okay.

  • 50K Trail : 6:11:47
  • Full Marathon:  04:07:12
  • Half Marathon:  01:46:33
  • 5K:  24:38

This will be my first year participating as mentor for the Fleet Feet Half Marathon Crew. I am so pumped to join and run the San Francisco Half Marathon for the 3rd time. I started running 4 years ago after purchasing my first pair of shoes at Fleet Feet. I run because I really, really, really love to eat - my favorite post-race celebration always includes a good steak. The San Francisco Half Marathon was my first half in 2010 and I still cannot forget how awesome it felt to cross the finish line, no matter what my time.My running favorite places include Lands End, The Embarcadero, and MarinHeadlands.

This will be my first training program as a mentor. I began my running life when I was 14 years old and haven't looked back since. Although I have never been apart of a cross country or track team, I have been doing half marathons, marathons, and triathlons for just about the past 10 years. My favorite part about running is that I get to race myself every time. I don't worry about how fast everyone else is, because I only focus on my personal growth and speed as a runner. I love being around the running community because it is all about an active lifestyle, and for me it doesn't matter if you're at the top or bottom, as long as you're out there doing something! I'm excited to be a mentor and can't wait to get out there with everyone!
